Through her network she works closely with entrepreneurs, leading investors, philanthropists and up and coming rising stars. She works for the Milken Institute in Asia, an economic think tank founded by billionaire financier and philanthropist Michael Milken. In her role she moderates, convenes audience and creates content for the Institute’s programming. She is passionate about the Institute’s philanthropic mission.
Prior to joining the Milken Institute, Freddi spent over a decade in investment banking and private equity in Paris, London and Singapore where she put to use her knowledge of six languages. What attracted her to move from for-profit to not-for profit world was the Institute’s mission to advance global prosperity by enhancing the relationship between finance and strong society. The Institute’s work is driven by a formula which states that prosperity equals the effect of financial technology acting to multiply the value of human capital, real assets and social assets. Most young ambitious individuals won’t give up their high profile highly paid jobs to help the world, but Freddi believes that if we don’t think of philanthropy as a business, we won’t be able to create the impact we desire.
In only five years, the Milken Institute Asia Center has grown exponentially and hosts not only some of the most coveted events but also creates impact via improvements in healthcare, job creation, widening access to capital and women’s empowerment. Freddi has lived in Singapore for over a decade with her Italian husband and their two children.
