Prestel & Partner is an independent organiser of leading family office forums globally dedicated to family offices, wealth owners, and a select few partners with topical expertise on best practices in governance and investments.

This Privacy Policy tells you what information we collect, how we do it, what we will do with it, and what applies when you:

Please note, that you have choices about the data we collect. When you are asked to provide personal data, you may decline, but if you choose not to provide data that is necessary for Prestel & Partner, you may not be able to attend and/or fully benefit from our family office forums. The data we collect at Prestel & Partner depends on the context of your interactions with us, the choices you make, and the events that you are attending, and in what capacity. 

Registering For Our Events

To attend our family office forums, we may ask you to provide us with your email address, and other information. We may use publicly available information on the Internet (such as LinkedIn) to verify that your email is valid, along with other information you provide at the time of registration, so we can assess your suitability and the most feasible capacity to attend our event. Any information you provide is stored in our secure database and is used to create and/or add to your private profile with us (as a speaker, partner, delegate, or any other type of event participant). 

If you are attending one of our events, we may ask you for further information such as your dietary requirements, passport details and any special needs or requirements in accordance with the Discrimination Act 2010. This information will be treated with the utmost respect and will only be used internally, for logistical purposes, for liaising with you and ensuring that you receive all relevant information, and have a comfortable and enjoyable experience at our event(s) you will be attending.

Please be assured, that we never pass any information and personal data we collect at registration to our event sponsors, or to any third parties. We may let you know if someone has raised specific interest to get in touch with you, and then it is up to you whether you accept an introduction to them. We will always ask your explicit consent before any introduction.

Visiting Our Websites

Personalisation

When you visit our website, we use a cookie to assign you a randomly generated unique identifier, so the website remembers next time you visit. We log your activity on our websites against this identifier in our databases. Once in our database, this information, along with any personalisation settings, will be added to your user profile, and we use this data to improve your user experience.

Third Party Analytics

We sometimes use third party services such as GoogleAnalytics, or AWStats to analyse website user activity. Personally identifiable information is never shared with these services or with any other third parties. 

Personal Introductions

If you are getting introduced to us as a family principal, UHNWI, family office, and/or advisor, or a service provider, and you ask us to keep you updated with regards to our upcoming events, we will create a profile for you in our database, however, as specified also above, we will not share any of your personal data or information with any third parties.  

Completing Our Surveys, Evaluation Forms

At the events, we may ask you to complete surveys via electronic tablets or paper. These may be to gain general feedback on our events, some will be about your topical interests, potential new speakers you would like to see or recommend, or if you could think of anyone who would be interested to attend our upcoming events. This information is added to your user profile and aids us in continuing to keep you updated and invite you to future relevant events.

We also sometimes run anonymous brief surveys/polling at our events to more engagement in the audience, and to receive feedback on a few salient topical questions relevant to the conference conversations.

In addition, we value your opinion and we rarely run surveys via email or telephone. These are primarily so we can stay engaged with our audience, and learn more about your specific or general preferences in order for us to further enhance our conferences. Such information will also be stored in our database and added to your user profile, however, will only be used for internal learning purposes, and we will not share it with any third parties.

Photographs and Video Materials

We might take a few photographs, or video material during our events, however, we will not share any of these via any channels, unless everyone on the materials is unidentifiable, or have given us their explicit consent for this.

Registering For Our Newsletter On Our Website

If you subscribe to our newsletter on our website, we will create a profile for you in our database, and make sure you will be receiving our newsletters. Please rest assured, that we will not share any of your personal data or information with any third parties.  

Having Face To Face Meetings With Us

At Prestel & Partner, we like to engage with our audience and will sometimes ask for an opportunity to meet you and ask you questions relating our family office forums. We will nor record our meeting, only take notes. Any opinions that you express will be stored in our database and will be linked to your user profile on the condition that you give us your consent to do this. 

Entering into Correspondence With Us By Email, Phone, Or Post

Prestel & Partner is delighted to receive emails, phone calls, or posts from their family office forum community. Any questions, generous feedbacks will be responded and taken into consideration. If you give us your consent, we will create a profile for you in our database, and the information you provided to us will be linked to your user profile.  

When you are in touch with us for the first time, you will be asked if you would wish to receive your newsletters. If you give your consent to this, we will send you carefully selected information about our family office forums. Speakers, Conference Contributors

Prestel & Partner extends invitations to family offices and a few select partners with topical expertise to speak at our family office forums. As part of this, if you are a speaker (panellist, speaker, host, or contribute to the forums in any way on stage) you may be contacted by Prestel & Partner staff for your photograph, a short biography, and any other relevant information. They will ask you if you are happy for us to use and publish this information as part of your profile on our website, conference books, and in any other event materials. If you agree, then this information will be added to our database and published online and printed in our conference book. We will regularly check in with you that this information is up to date and that you are happy with our continued publication of it.

Our security

We understand how important data security matters to all our clients. With this in mind, we use appropriate measures to provide a level of security against the risk of processing your personal information. We want our family office forum community members to feel confident that we are committed to protecting the information that we collect. Information transmitted to us over the internet is secured using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and industry-standard firewalls.
