    She served for three years as the Chair of the Arab Foundations Forum (AFF), a regional network of Arab philanthropic organizations focused on professionalizing the sector and improving impact. She continues to work with the AFF on developing the enterprise ecosystem in the Arab world.

    Earlier she worked in the UK as Shell Foundation’s Deputy Director helping to grow its portfolio of scalable social enterprises working in energy related sectors. Woodcraft has spent over 25 years working in emerging markets focusing on how to create sustainable and scalable systemic socio-economic change both as a corporate executive (for Shell and Visa International) and as a philanthropic practitioner and adviser. She has written extensively on development challenges in the Middle East and is a regular public speaker on how to create high impact catalytic philanthropy. She sits on the boards of the US based Operation Hope which promotes financial inclusion and the UK based Sumerian Foundation which is addressing global poverty issues.

    Woodcraft is a British national who speaks Arabic and French fluently and holds an MSc in Development from the London School of Economics.

    He is trustee and board member for a select number of large European families. He is partner and chairman of PMB Capital Ltd., London. He is attorney at law and tax advisor.

    From 2013 until 2015 Konstantin was partner at Edmond de Rothschild Private Merchant Banking LLP.

    From 1986 until 2013 he was partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, the international law firm and served as the firm’s worldwide chairman from 2004 to 2010. Under his leadership the firm – with 5,000 employees - almost doubled profit per share. He advised board members of key public and private clients, considering structural, corporate, regulatory and tax issues, and finding practical solutions to commercial issues. From 2000 until 2004, he was Freshfields’ Managing Partner for Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe. From 1986 until 2000 he has been trusted advisor to leading international public and private companies on tax issues around M&A, reorganizations and financings.

    He has a deep understanding of economic, financial, legal, leadership and family issues about which he also lectures. He assists large international family owned groups on strategic questions of ownership, governance, investments, succession planning, transactions and financing.

    He is chairman of Common Purpose Deutschland e.V., trustee of the John Boyer First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry Memorial Trust in the U.S. and on the advisory board of Goethe Universität in Frankfurt. He received the Medal of Honor from Bucerius Law School (Hamburg, Germany) in 2008. He is married and has three children. Before his legal and business studies, Konstantin served as an officer in the German Army and the US National Guard.

    Qualifications and education - Konstantin studied law in Freiburg and Geneva, received his doctoral degree in 1987 and his degree as tax advisor (Steuerberater) in 1990. He graduated with an MBA from the Wharton School (USA) in 1983.
